General guide:

Ø Font size: minimum 22 point, preferably 26
Ø Limit the number of lines of text used per slide – easier for viewers
Ø Colour scheme: keep it simple. Usually no more than three colours 
Ø Background: use a simple background. Patterns that are often included with slide-making software can make the slide hard to read, and can be distracting to the viewer 

Oral Presentation Notes

Ø Please make sure your presentation is in a commonly compatible format. Please prepare your presentation using PowerPoint version 2010 or 2013 ONLY. Macintosh computer format is NOT accepted.

Ø The presenters are entirely responsible for the presentation content (order, graphics, videos etc.) but the following information is recommended:

1. Title

2. Introduction

3. Research methods or experimental methods

4. Results

5. Discussion

6. Conclusions

Ø Each presenter is given 10 minutes to present followed by a 5 minutes Q & A session. A moderator is present to keep strict attention to the time and facilitate the order of presentations.

Ø Once onsite, each presenter should also verify in the final programme that the room and the time of the session did not change.

Ø Presentation file should be sent as an email attachment to the scientific secretariat (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. ) at least 24 hours in advance of your presentation. Please save the attachment with IABS2017 - followed by your name and ID (e.g. IABS2017 - Allan 1234).

Ø Use of own computers is NOT allowed.

Ø Wireless remotes are not provided as a standard item.

Ø Please arrive at your session meeting room at least 20 minutes before the session begins. Take time to familiarise yourself with the set-up and to meet with the session chair.
