Abstract Evaluation

A number of proffered papers will be selected from submitted abstracts for oral presentation. All abstracts will be reviewed by the Scientific Programme Committee and successful delegates will be notified of their poster or oral presentation as soon as possible after evaluation.

Abstract Submission Guidelines

1.   All abstracts must be submitted via the meeting website ONLY.
2.   Abstract submitted via online form will be automatically edited according to the IABS 2017 submission format. It is the author’s responsibility to proofread the abstract before completing submission.
3.   Abstracts for the Oral Presentation and Poster Presentation are limited to 300 words and must be submitted in English.
4.   Please provide three keywords representing the main content of the abstract.
5.   No charts or graphics should be included in the abstract.

Abstract Content

1.   Please make the abstract as informative as possible, and support your conclusions with data. Abstracts should be structured to include the following four sections:
    Ø Objective
    Ø Design and method
    Ø Results
    Ø Conclusions
2.   Please use standard abbreviations, generic drug names, and place unusual abbreviations or acronyms in parentheses after first use.

Abstract Acceptance

1.   Abstract should strictly adhere to the guidelines stated.
2.   No limit will be imposed on the number of abstracts submitted by a participant. However, only ONE abstract is limited per registration (the presenting author).
3.   Your submission and registration (payment) must be completed in order for your abstract to be considered for the meeting.
4.   A confirmation of the receipt of abstract will be automatically sent to the submitter and the presenting author by e-mail upon completion of the on-line submission.
5.   Important information regarding the allocated session will be relayed to the presenting author and corresponding author. Thus, kindly ensure all information provided in the registration form and abstract is correct.
6.   The acceptance of abstract will be notified by e-mail to the presenting author and correspondence author.
7.   The Scientific Committee will determine whether the abstract will be accepted as an oral or poster presentation, with consideration given to author’s preference.
8.   Upon acceptance of the abstract, the presenting author is expected to present the abstract at the Oral Presentation or Poster Presentation.
9.   Submission of abstract therefore constitutes the authors’ consent to have the abstract published in the full program booklet and website. Abstract may also be edited for publication.

Criteria for Young Investigator Award (YIA)

Ø  Applicants must be no more than 40 years old during the time of presentation (born no earlier than 1 August 1977).
Ø  Applicants must submit an abstract as an oral presenter and indicate under the option “Young Investigator Award” in the online submission form.
Ø  The abstract must be accepted for Oral Presentation in the YIA Session during IABS 2017.
Ø  Applicants must submit a copy of your ID.
Ø  “Poster preferred” applicants are not eligible for YIA.
